Diabetes Edge

Diabetes Edge is a private diabetes education practice founded by Emily, offering personalised support to people with newly diagnosed or established diabetes. Drawing on more than 25 years of lived experience with type 1 diabetes, Emily provides a respectful, non-judgemental approach focused on helping clients build the knowledge and confidence to work towards their health goals. She has experience supporting people with type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes, including more complex needs. Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Nursing, a Master’s in Advanced Practice–Diabetes, Credentialled Diabetes Educator status and Certified Pump Trainer accreditation.

Services are available through face-to-face and telehealth appointments. One-on-one consultations can cover glucose or ketone monitoring, lifestyle guidance, insulin and other injectable medicines, and ongoing diabetes support. Diabetes Edge also advises on continuous glucose monitoring, including product selection, access and device use. For insulin pump users or those considering pump therapy, the practice offers guidance on suitability, starting treatment, upgrades and loan pumps.
