About DiabetesFreeSC
Diabetes Free SC is a transformative initiative in South Carolina that aims to address healthcare disparities and reduce the incidence of diabetes, particularly among at-risk demographics. With a focus on promoting equity and reducing disparities in access and quality of diabetes prevention, education, and care, this long-term statewide program connects with community-serving organizations to align efforts and bring about population-level change. Recognizing the devastating toll that diabetes takes on the health of South Carolinians, Diabetes Free SC leverages innovative strategies and new technologies for early interventions to prolong healthy life.
The initiative prioritizes under-resourced communities and health disparities, with funding from the BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Foundation.
