About Diabitė
Vaikų ir jaunimo diabeto klubas Diabitė is a public legal entity and non-governmental organization that operates as an association. The club is composed of children with type 1 diabetes and their family members, and they welcome new members from all over Lithuania. The club was founded by parents who themselves have children with type 1 diabetes, and they understand the challenges and difficulties that come with this disease.
Their main goal is to provide support and assistance to newly diagnosed children and their families by offering necessary information and training for managing the disease. This includes organizing diabetes management and active leisure camps, events, and meetings, where children can learn to independently manage their disease in a safe environment.
