Diamond K Kennels is a family-owned hunting dog training and Pointing Labrador breeding business based in Freeman, South Dakota. Owned and operated by the Krull family since 2014, the kennel offers personalized programs shaped around each dog’s abilities and each owner’s needs. Its services include gun dog training, hunt test preparation, and bird dog training. Dogs completing the gun dog program are prepared as turn-key hunting companions, while hunt test training develops retrieving skills and can contribute to a dog’s pedigree. Bird dog training helps dogs work toward AKC, UKC, and APLA hunt test titles.
Diamond K’s breeding program selects Labradors for natural abilities and desirable traits, with the goal of producing capable hunting partners and valued family dogs. The kennel’s approach reflects owner and trainer Josh Krull’s lifelong involvement with Labrador Retrievers, which began with professional pheasant guiding as a teenager. Diamond K Kennels also introduces its dogs, shares litter information, and provides contact details for prospective training and breeding clients.
