Diamond Strings

Diamond Strings is a boutique string ensemble offering live music for wedding ceremonies and special events across the Hunter Valley, Central Coast, Newcastle and Sydney. Directed by founder and principal violinist Melanie Cuthbertson, the ensemble is built around Melanie and her husband, Michael, combining professional musicianship with elegant presentation and attentive service. Its offerings include a classical violin duo, a contemporary Guitar & Violin Duo, and a solo violinist.

The solo performance features sophisticated contemporary and jazz favourites accompanied by backing tracks, while the duo pairs acoustic guitar with expressive violin in light, folksy arrangements. Clients can book music for wedding ceremonies, combined ceremony and canapé receptions, and other special occasions. Diamond Strings helps shape the musical atmosphere, supports couples with repertoire choices and special song requests, and provides professional amplification and complimentary inclusions.
