The Diana Jones Award for Excellence in Gaming is a prestigious recognition in the tabletop gaming industry, established in 2001. It honors individuals, products, companies, and events that exemplify excellence in gaming. Each year, a committee of industry luminaries—including designers, publishers, and convention organizers—selects nominees and a winner. The award is celebrated at an annual ceremony, which coincides with the well-known Gen Con Indy convention.
One of the notable winners in 2024 is United Paizo Workers, a groundbreaking union for employees of Paizo, Inc., recognized for advocating workers' rights in the gaming field. The award also acknowledges impressive finalists, such as Adepticon and TTRPGs for Trans Rights in Florida, highlighting the diversity and vibrancy of the gaming community.
The Diana Jones Award not only rewards outstanding achievements but also encourages creativity, innovation, and social responsibility within the gaming industry, working towards a positive impact on both developers and players alike.
