DIAS

DIAS, or the Data Integration and Analysis System, is an innovative project initiated by Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) to create a cohesive platform for Earth environmental data integration and analysis. Running from fiscal year 2021 for ten years, DIAS supports climate change research by gathering and processing a vast array of Earth observation data. Collaborating with universities, research institutions, and government agencies, DIAS enables researchers to tackle pressing global challenges, particularly in climate change and disaster prevention.

The platform offers tools and applications for data exploitation, allowing users to search, analyze, and download datasets. It emphasizes the importance of integrating big data for real-time applications while also supporting long-term sustainable operations. DIAS aims to foster collaboration across various sectors, enhancing decision-making capabilities for national and local governments as well as industries.
