About DICL
Dicl, also known as Dhaubadi Iron Company Limited, is a government-owned organization established in Nepal. Their mission is to produce high-quality iron and steel from the iron ore deposit located in Nawalparasi East, Nepal. DICL aims to meet the domestic demand for steel and contribute to economic growth by reducing the need for steel imports.
With a vision to become a leading institution in the steel business, DICL focuses on quality and customer satisfaction. Their objectives include establishing a steel plant using their own iron ore through a Public-Private Partnership Model. The company conducts detailed exploration, mine design, and feasibility studies to ensure optimal production.
Geologically, DICL discovered iron mineralization in the Dhaubadi area during prospecting work for coal resources. Chemical analysis has shown promising quality and quantity of iron ore in the region. DICL's activities also include selecting suitable locations for beneficiation plant sites and electric steel making plants based on the Dhaubadi Iron Deposit.
