Funktion & Mission des GesundheitsSenats Die Mundgesundheit ist ein in der Medizin noch vernachlässigter Bereich, der ein Kernthema der Prävention ganzheitlicher Gesundheit und multikausaler Wirkung ist. Die Blickrichtung des GesundheitsSenats in der DMS ist nicht alleine fixiert auf die Zahnheilkunde, es ist eine ganzheitlich zu setzende Betrachtung, deren wesentliches Ziel die Gesunderhaltung des Körpers ist. Damit wird eine nennenswerte Reihe von systemischen Erkrankungen signifikant eingedämmt und verhindert. Der GesundheitsSenat stellt eine gesellschaftlich relevante Aufgabe dar, denn mit der Aufmerksamkeit und Forschung für eine zielorientierte Prävention wird ein Kern der breiten Gesundheitsvorsorge - auch im Sinne der UN-Nachhaltigkeitsziele (SDG's) - getroffen. Der GesundheitsSenat fühlt sich streng dem Gemeinwohl verpflichtet, die Vertretung von Partikularinteressen ist nicht der Aufgabenbereich und die Zielsetzung.
