Die Stifter

Die Stifter is a nonprofit foundation supporting people with disabilities and their families in the Lüneburg and Harburg districts of Germany. Founded in 2008, it aims to provide lasting assistance, promote inclusion, and turn new ideas into practical support. Its work is funded by investment returns, while the foundation’s capital is preserved for the long term.

The foundation supports advice and services for people with disabilities and relatives, including courses and sibling seminars. It also helps develop or equip facilities, especially where funding goes beyond statutory provision. Other priorities include inclusive leisure activities, holidays and cultural events that bring disabled and non-disabled people together, as well as awards recognizing exemplary inclusion in community life. Projects have included a tandem bicycle for residents and their community.

Individuals and businesses can contribute through endowments, project-specific funds, charitable trust foundations, donor loans, securities, property, or bequests. Die Stifter also provides information and events about wills benefiting people with disabilities, and organizes weekend activities for siblings.
