About Dienge
Dienge | Colombo is a renowned brand situated in the heart of Colombo, Sri Lanka. We specialize in handcrafted silverware, fine art, gemstones, and jewelry. Our eclectic collection of hallmarked silverware is frequently sought after by both corporate and personal clients for special occasions.
Our products are never mass-produced, and we take pride in offering unique designs that are not necessarily of Sri Lankan heritage. Founded by Dhammika Gunasekera in 2002, Dienge was born out of his passion for collecting fine art, carpets, silverware, and antique furniture. Inspired by famous silverware from Buccelatti and Tiffany & Co., Dhammika decided to support local artisans by establishing an organization that buys and sells custom-made artifacts based on his own preferences.
We work with master craftsmen who are direct descendants of Sri Lanka's previous kings' personal silversmiths and jewelers. Our silver products are meticulously crafted using traditional techniques such as repousse, embossing, and filigree by the industry's best-known artisans. In addition to silverware, Dienge also showcases Dhammika Gunasekera's stunning art.
His drawings, influenced by Kandinsky and art movements like purism and cubism, are done on high-quality cotton watercolor paper and feature harmonious colors and shapes. To guarantee exceptional quality, all our products are hallmarked as sterling silver by the National Gem & Jewellery Authority of Sri Lanka. We have been recognized with the bronze award for the Assaying and Hallmarking category of the Achiever Awards 2003.
Dienge has earned a prestigious clientele, including Royalty, Presidents, Prime Ministers, Diplomats, and Military Chiefs from various nations across Asia, Europe, Africa, and the USA. We have also designed and commissioned trophies for esteemed awards such as the National Business Excellence Awards and the President's medallion of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.
