About Dierenasiel Genk
Welcome to the website of Dierenasiel Genk! For 30 years, our VZW Dierenasiel Genk has been dedicated to providing shelter for dogs and cats. Our main goal is to find them a forever home where they can live happily for the rest of their lives. But our mission extends beyond providing shelter.
We also strive to contribute to animal welfare in our region. This includes assisting and advising people, collaborating with local police forces, and coordinating projects for the sterilization of stray cats with municipalities. In addition to our rescue and rehoming efforts, we also offer various services.
Unfortunately, due to the current circumstances, in-person visits to view our dogs and cats are no longer possible. However, we continue to facilitate adoptions by appointment only. For those interested in getting involved, we welcome new members and volunteers.
