Dierenweide Harderwijk

Stichting Dierenweide Harderwijk is a community-supported children’s farm in Harderwijk, Netherlands, welcoming visitors of all ages. Its purpose is to encourage positive relationships between people and animals, while providing a relaxing place where children can play and learn about animal care and different species. The farm is home to dwarf goats and other goats, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, birds and cats. Visitors can meet the animals when the animal areas and main building are open, depending on the presence of caretakers. Opening times are scheduled across mornings and afternoons throughout the week.

The foundation also offers animal adoption opportunities, including options for goats, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens and other animals. Its activities include maintaining the farm, welcoming young animals, organising events and presenting animal exhibitions. It also works on projects with schools, a local environmental centre and care homes. The Dierenweide relies on donations, sponsors and volunteers to continue its work, and invites people to support the farm through contributions or volunteering.
