Equicore

Equicore is a practice focused on the physical wellbeing and training of both horses and riders. Founded by Sjouke van Rossum, a physiotherapist for people and animals, the practice combines human physiotherapy experience with specialist study of equine care, including training in Focus on the Equine Spine (FES). Horse treatments take place at the owner’s stable. Riders can receive treatment or training at ParaMedisch Centrum Helix in Leersum, or training at their own location; equipment for rider sessions includes the Flexchair and Anky Freerider, subject to availability and session conditions.

Equicore also offers a horse check-up to identify possible physical concerns. This involves observing the horse standing and moving, palpating the body, and examining one area of concern in more detail. The practice provides an intake process that gathers information about the horse’s health, history, care, and training.
