Diesel on Ice is an ice-fishing competition hosted by Universal Truck Service, LLC, in East Bethel, Minnesota. Created as a way for the company to thank its team members, customers, supporters, and friends, the event also welcomes the wider community to enjoy winter fishing together. Held on Coon Lake, the competition takes place every two years; after its previous event in 2022, it is scheduled to return in 2026. The 2024 event was cancelled, with safety cited as the priority.
Beyond fishing, Diesel on Ice offers a festive gathering with live DJ entertainment, food from Route 65, and a Universal Truck Service merchandise booth. The event website shares practical information, prizes and sponsors, rules and regulations, photos, and contact details. Visitors can also follow its Facebook page for event updates and RSVP information. With an emphasis on community, friendly competition, and a welcoming winter atmosphere, Diesel on Ice invites anglers and families to spend a day together on the ice and celebrate the local fishing community.
