Dieťa do dlaní

Dieťa do dlaní is a nonprofit civic association based in Humenné, Slovakia, established in 2016 from a founder’s experience raising a child born prematurely. Since 2018, it has been a registered provider of early intervention services in the Prešov Region. The organization supports families with children aged 0 to 7 who have disabilities, developmental delays or risks, including risks related to premature birth, health conditions or challenging social circumstances.

Its main service offers free guidance, support and accompaniment, provided through home visits and appointments at its Early Intervention Centre in Humenné. Support is tailored to each family’s needs and may include help understanding a child’s situation, identifying ways to address challenges, and information about the child’s needs and available support. The association also helps families communicate with public offices and other institutions. In addition to early intervention, Dieťa do dlaní offers specialized social counselling and supplementary services. It reports supporting more than 40 families and collaborates with professionals including a pediatric neurologist and a clinical speech therapist.
