About World Cancer Research Fund
World Cancer Research Fund is a registered charity in England and Wales focused on cancer prevention and survival. Its flagship research initiative, the Global Cancer Update Programme (CUP Global), examines international evidence on how diet, nutrition and physical activity influence cancer risk and outcomes. The programme works with experts around the world and follows a four-step process to assess research and develop evidence-based conclusions and recommendations.
CUP Global also investigates how risk factors at different stages of life may affect cancer risk in adulthood. Its work includes research summaries and updated guidance for people living with and beyond breast or colorectal cancer. Through its website, World Cancer Research Fund shares information on cancer prevention, health recommendations, cancer statistics and living well, alongside practical resources such as free guides, cookbooks, recipes and tools for eating well and being active. The organisation also supports research through grants and programmes, engages in policy work, and offers ways for individuals and communities to support its charitable activities.
