Different Sport Emmen

Different Sport Emmen is a sports and coaching provider in Klijndijk, serving people who want to improve their physical and mental wellbeing through boxing-based activities. Its sessions are designed for different ages, abilities and experience levels, with options for private coaching and group training. Training is generally non-contact, focusing on movement, technique, fitness, confidence and personal development.

Offerings include kickboxing and boxing, punch-bag training, Parkinson’s boxing, and agogic boxing for children. The specialist programmes also include boxing-based support for stress and burnout, as well as sessions for people with disabilities. Schools can arrange introductory boxing activities, while businesses and other groups can book active team-building sessions. Different Sport Emmen also runs a women’s weekly surprise session and practical self-defence workshops covering awareness, physical techniques, confidence and setting boundaries.

Participants are encouraged to train at their own level in a friendly, supportive environment. The organisation is affiliated with the Youth Sport & Culture Fund and Meedoen Borger-Odoorn, helping connect eligible participants with opportunities to take part.
