Digital Circus is an accredited PLD provider that is dedicated to supporting schools across New Zealand. Their aim is to bring purposeful PLD (Professional Learning and Development) that transforms teaching and learning. The brand embodies three key principles: Inspire, Create, and Innovate.
They inspire others to be curious, explore, and reflect on their practice to improve outcomes for students. They create bespoke, purposeful, and meaningful PLD experiences for both teachers and students. And they cultivate a sense of innovation to bring into their work and teacher practice.
Digital Circus was founded by a couple of frustrated teachers who believed their region lacked sufficient support. They started by traveling the region in a van, running workshops to inspire teachers about digital technology. As the Ministry of Education (MoE) introduced the new PLD system in 2017, Digital Circus became an accredited PLD facilitator.
They have since worked with over 300 schools and thousands of teachers nationwide. Digital Circus is passionate about working with teachers to empower active change and transform teaching and learning
