About Digital Earth
Digital Earth Sweden serves as a Swedish hub for satellite data, aiming to make space data accessible to everyone. With a focus on Earth observation, the organization transforms satellite data from the EU's Copernicus program for local use, promoting open access for all. It provides high-resolution national data that visually represents the changes in Sweden's landscapes, waters, and environments over time.
Users can leverage the IMINT Engine for enhanced decision-making and environmental monitoring, while the integrated mapping service allows for direct data visualization and exploration within a web browser. This platform enriches its core data with supplementary services from Swedish authorities for comprehensive visual comparisons. Digital Earth Sweden also encourages developers to engage with their data programmatically through a dedicated GitHub repository, enabling coding and analysis.
Monthly highlights showcase fascinating satellite imagery to demonstrate practical applications, reinforcing the platform's role in decision-making, community planning, and environmental oversight
