The Digital Ehon Award is an innovative initiative established in 2012, aimed at exploring and advancing the realm of digital children’s literature. It champions creative expression through various digital media, reflecting the evolving landscape influenced by technology. The award invites participants from around the globe to craft engaging digital picture books that captivate children, expanding their understanding and imagination in a quickly changing digital world.
The category of digital picture books encompasses a range of platforms and technologies, including computers, tablets, smartphones, e-books, and digital signage. Additionally, the award encourages submissions that leverage cutting-edge technologies such as AI, AR/VR, blockchain, and robotics, aiming to inspire new modes of expression and play for young audiences.
By promoting these new forms of artistic and communicative expression, the Digital Ehon Award seeks to not only entertain but also enrich children's lives in the digital age.
