DIMS

Darwin Indigenous Men’s Service (DIMS) is a not-for-profit Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporation serving Indigenous men in the Darwin region of the Northern Territory. The organisation was incorporated in 2017 and transferred to the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations in 2019. Its management committee comprises Indigenous men living in the Darwin region, and Indigenous male staff deliver its programs and services to Indigenous male clients.

DIMS works to improve men’s social and emotional wellbeing and to build strength across body, mind, culture, social relationships and spirit. Its vision is to develop strong, healthy and independent men who can contribute to strong and healthy families and communities. The organisation’s programs and services support these aims, guided by values of honour, integrity, dignity, humility, care, sharing and respect for people, culture, Country and community.

Based in Berrimah, DIMS acknowledges the Larrakia people as Traditional Custodians of the land where it lives and works, and pays respect to Elders past and present and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
