About RC DIOK
DIOK Rugby Club, also known as RC DIOK Leiden, is a prominent rugby club founded on March 28, 1971, with the support of the Leidsch Studenten Rugby Gezelschap (LSRG). With a rapid and successful growth phase, DIOK quickly earned a place in the Ereklasse, the highest national rugby competition in the Netherlands, in the 1975-1976 season, and has remained a dominant force ever since. DIOK Rugby Club has an impressive record, being crowned national champions 15 times, including a remarkable 10 consecutive titles in the 1990s.
This accomplishment is still recognized and recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. As one of the leading sports clubs in Leiden, DIOK prides itself on its core values: Respect, Commitment, Discipline, Integrity, Selflessness, and Comradeship.
