DIR ישראל

DIR Israel is the officially recognized organization in Israel for training and certifying therapists and educators to work with the DIR model, with recognition from the US-based Profectum organization and Israel’s Ministry of Health. Its work began informally in 2004, building on efforts to introduce the model in Israel that started in the 1990s. DIR was developed by Dr. Stanley Greenspan and Dr. Serena Wieder as a developmental, emotional and integrative approach to assessment and intervention, particularly for children with special needs and autistic children.

The organization offers professional training, including introductory courses, a training seminar and certification pathways, as well as lectures, workshops, study days and online presentations for parents. It also provides information about the model, articles and recommended reading for families and professionals. Parents can find resources about DIR and its components, while therapists and educators can access a directory of certified practitioners and supervisors. DIR Israel’s team includes certified instructors from different therapeutic professions who volunteer to teach, guide and support the use of the model.
