The Asociación Estatal de Directoras y Gerentes de Servicios Sociales is a leading professional forum dedicated to enhancing social services in Spain. This association aims to actively engage society in the conversation about social welfare and seeks innovative solutions to improve the quality of life for over 8 million people relying on social services.

Through initiatives such as the Índice DEC, the organization measures the effectiveness of service structures and budgets, providing crucial insights into poverty and social inequality. They also highlight significant social issues through the Informe sobre el Estado Social de la Nación, focusing on the needs of individuals and families rather than institutional narratives.

In addition to research and advocacy, the association hosts congresses and presents the prestigious Premio Corazón de Piedra to acknowledge deficiencies in social responsibility. Their commitment to professional development and community involvement positions them at the forefront of social change, striving for improved autonomy and dignity for vulnerable populations in Spain.
