Directory World is a human-edited web directory that helps people discover websites and gives site owners a place to present their online businesses. Established in 2004, it describes its collection as human-curated, with listings reviewed for relevance. Visitors can browse categories, search the directory, explore new additions, or navigate listings alphabetically.

Its directory contains more than 17,000 listings across 494 categories, spanning areas such as business, travel, health and fitness, shopping, technology, education, automotive, home and garden, entertainment, and finance. Category pages group related resources, making it easier to find websites on specific subjects, from hotels and flights to software, legal services, crafts, and sports. For website owners, Directory World offers a site-submission service intended to add eligible websites to its reviewed directory and help them reach visitors.

The service is focused on organizing and connecting users with useful websites rather than selling physical products. Directory World presents itself as a long-running resource for both people seeking relevant online destinations and organizations looking for directory exposure
