Direct Supports LLC (DSPI) is a Virginia-based, DBHDS-licensed provider of sponsored residential services for children and young people ages 5–18 with developmental disabilities. Serving Zone 5 communities in Southeastern Virginia, DSPI focuses on creating safe, welcoming homes where each individual receives support shaped around their strengths, preferences, and needs. No more than two individuals live in each home.

Services can support communication and choice, daily living skills, learning and dependable routines, emotional and behavioral needs, relationships, and participation in school and community life. DSPI emphasizes consistent, dignified support while encouraging confidence, belonging, and personal growth. The organization works with families and support coordinators to discuss referrals, including support needs, waiver authorization, household preferences, service availability, and person-centered matching.

DSPI also recruits prospective sponsored residential sponsors interested in providing a supportive home. Its screening pathway includes discussions of readiness, qualification checks, training, interviews, a home assessment, compliance review, and matching. Candidate approval is not automatic and depends on program requirements and a suitable match.
