About Disability Assist
Disability Assist | Ashford is a user-led organization that aims to empower disabled individuals in Kent to live independently and have real choices in their lives. They believe in a world where disabled people have equal access to opportunities and are included as full citizens in society. Offering bespoke support, Disability Assist works closely with each individual to find the best approach to suit their needs.
With a team of dedicated professionals, they provide services such as information support, advocacy, and signposting to appropriate resources. As a pan-disability organization, they are able to assist adults in Kent with various physical disabilities or long-term health conditions. Disability Assist was previously known as the Centre for Independent Living Kent (CiLK), and in 2015, it joined forces with the Simon Paul Foundation to provide comprehensive services throughout the county.
