DisAI is a pioneering research initiative led by the Kempelen Institute of Intelligent Technologies (KInIT) in Slovakia, in collaboration with esteemed partners such as DFKI, the University of Copenhagen, and CERTH. The project aims to elevate KInIT's scientific excellence in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Language Technologies (LT), particularly in the fight against disinformation—a growing societal challenge.

Recognizing Slovakia's need for enhanced research collaboration and innovation, DisAI focuses on improving KInIT's capabilities through three main areas: Multilingual Language Technologies, Multimodal Natural Language Processing, and Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence. By addressing the pressing issue of disinformation, the initiative works to strengthen research management, administrative skills, and overall excellence at KInIT.

Through an active consortium, DisAI aspires to raise KInIT's research profile, foster partnerships in international initiatives like CLARIN, and contribute significantly to safeguarding the digital landscape. The project seeks to maximize both regional and national impacts, thereby enhancing Slovakia's participation in global research efforts.
