DISCE, which stands for Developing Inclusive and Sustainable Creative Economies, is an innovative brand embarking on a three-year project that unites researchers from Finland, Italy, Latvia, and the UK. Funded by the European Commission's Horizon 2020 program, the research conducted by DISCE will shed light on creative economies throughout the European Union. By conducting ten regional case studies and implementing EU-wide quantitative mapping, the project leverages the team's interdisciplinary expertise to explore the connections between higher education, skill development, and creative work.

Additionally, DISCE will delve into emerging business models, improved quantitative mapping, and the concept of 'growth' in creative economies. The project's central goal revolves around establishing how future creative economies can be both inclusive and sustainable. Through collaboration with creative practitioners and policy makers, DISCE aspires not only to comprehend the EU's creative economies but also to actively contribute to shaping their future.
