Discount Owl Pellets is a family-owned supplier of heat-treated barn owl pellets, serving educators since 1989. Founded by Patty and Brian Andersen, the business draws on three generations of family involvement in collecting, sorting, processing, and packing pellets for classroom use. Its products support hands-on science lessons in which students dissect pellets, sort bones, and use charts to identify the owl’s prey.
The range includes Premium #1 whole pellets, quality-selected and graded in five sizes: Mini, Small, Regular, Jumbo, and Giant. Bargain #2 offers economical bulk material, including halves, chunks, loose bones, and smaller fragments for group sorting and bone study. Special Unique selections may include large halves, pellets with visible bird bones, and other unusual specimens. Options are available for different lesson objectives, student ages, and lab durations, with contents naturally varying between pellets.
Discount Owl Pellets also provides a size guide, teaching instructions, and printable bone charts to help educators prepare. Public schools can order by purchase order, and W-9 and vendor documents are available by email.
