discovering-eagle.org

Discovering-Eagle.org is the personal aviation and travel website of Florian, documenting his flying adventures and the people, places, and aircraft he encounters along the way. Through detailed trip reports, the site follows flights across Europe and beyond, including journeys around Africa, the British Isles, and France. Stories describe route planning, airfield visits, local hospitality, weather challenges, and the practical realities of general aviation, often featuring Hugo, Florian’s rescued dog and flying copilot.

The site also introduces Florian and his crew, shares information about countries he has visited and pilot ratings, and presents aircraft-related interests and flying experiences. Visitors can explore day trips and weekend flights, follow travel journals, and check an online pilot logbook that is updated almost immediately to see whether a flight has been recorded. Additional resources include downloads and software recommendations, including a SkyDemon data add-on showing glider activity sectors in Germany, with the possibility of other country-specific sectors on request.
