The Daintree Discovery Centre is a visitor attraction in the heart of Queensland’s Daintree Rainforest, introducing guests to one of the world’s oldest and most diverse tropical ecosystems. Its experiences help visitors explore the rainforest from the forest floor to the canopy, while highlighting the importance of understanding and protecting this remarkable environment.

Visitors can discover rainforest plants and wildlife through boardwalks, aerial walkways, the Canopy Tower, Jarrabina Terraces and an interpretive centre. The Discovery Theatre and a virtual reality zone offer additional ways to learn about the rainforest, while guided tours and educational programs support group and school visits. Entry includes an audio tour available in eight languages, a 68-page interpretive guidebook and a seven-day re-entry pass; a children’s audio tour is also available for ages five to nine. The centre is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with last entry at 4 p.m., and is closed on Christmas Day. It also shares visitor information, itineraries and citizen science opportunities, including reporting cassowary sightings.
