一般社団法人遺伝性血管性浮腫診断コンソーシアム （DISCOVERY）は、希少疾患 遺伝性血管性浮腫（HAE ） の診断率の向 上を目指します 。腫れや浮腫み、腹痛といった症状が出る遺伝性血管性浮腫（HAE ）の日本における有病率は 5万人に 1人と言われ、国内で診断・治 療中の患者様が430名程度いるという報告があり、推定 される国内の患者数に対し20％に留まっています。

About 遺伝性血管性浮腫診断コンソーシアム“DISCOVERY”
The Diagnostic Consortium to Advance the Ecosystem for Hereditary Angioedema, commonly referred to as DISCOVERY, is a non-profit organization established on February 8, 2021, located in Soka City, Saitama, Japan. Led by esteemed directors including Hide Michihiro, the hospital director at Hiroshima City Hiroshima Citizens Hospital, and Horii Takahiko from Kyushu University Hospital, DISCOVERY is dedicated to improving the diagnosis and treatment of Hereditary Angioedema (HAE).
This consortium unites healthcare professionals and researchers to support HAE patients suffering from undiagnosed symptoms. DISCOVERY's initiatives encompass three primary working groups focused on AI analysis of medical data, diagnostic support for non-specialist clinicians, and raising awareness for undiagnosed patients.
