DISD

Dutch Institute for Self Defense (DISD) provides professional training focused on Krav Maga instruction, self-defense, and personal resilience. Its internationally recognized programs combine practical training, teaching methods, scientific foundations, and individual guidance to prepare participants not only to perform techniques but also to teach them effectively. DISD serves people with backgrounds in sport, security, education, healthcare, and related fields, as well as those seeking a new professional direction.

The institute offers a Krav Maga instructor qualification, an assistant-instructor course, and training to become a resilience trainer. It also develops tailored programs for defense, education, healthcare, and security professionals, alongside online modules and flexible hybrid learning pathways. Courses emphasize physical and mental safety, respect, integrity, and responsible instruction, with methods designed to build confidence and practical skills.

Beyond formal qualifications, DISD highlights ongoing education, personal support, and connection to a community of professionals. Its goal is to help instructors grow and make a positive impact by sharing self-defense skills and strengthening individuals and communities.
