DISFAM

DISFAM is a nonprofit international organization that works with Ibero-American states and governments to support people with specific learning difficulties, including dyslexia, dysorthography, dysgraphia and dyscalculia. Its work also addresses associated conditions such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, developmental language disorder and dyspraxia. The organization promotes legislation, early diagnosis, education and training, and provides guidance and support for individuals and families.

DISFAM serves a broad community that includes families, students, adults, educators, businesses and governments. Its resources include dyslexia detection and response protocols for different ages and educational stages, accessible reading materials, documentation, guidance, and information about educational accommodations and access to university. It also offers the DEA Passport, an official document for people with specific learning difficulties in Ibero-American countries, and the Lecto App.

Through regional branches, partnerships, committees, events and international initiatives, DISFAM supports collaboration across multiple countries. Its activities include training, conferences, awareness campaigns, and work with public institutions. The organization also offers opportunities to collaborate, volunteer and become a member.
