District Six Museum is a poignant institution dedicated to preserving the memories and history of the vibrant District Six community in Cape Town. Established in 1994, the museum's mission is to remember the injustices of the past while promoting unity and reconciliation in the present. Through its permanent exhibition, "Digging Deeper," housed in the historic Methodist Church building, visitors are invited to retrace the footsteps of those affected by forced removals.

Additionally, the museum's Homecoming Centre offers a space for events and educational programs that engage with the community's past and present struggles. Beyond its physical locations, the museum actively collaborates with displaced families and partners to ensure their stories are told and remembered. As a member of SAMA and ICSOC, District Six Museum is committed to fostering dialogue and healing through shared experiences.
