Diversport Baskettosi is a Treviso-based sports organization built around inclusive basketball. Its Baskettosi team brings together players with and without disabilities, promoting the idea that everyone is equal on the court. Teamwork, shared effort and participation are central to its approach, reflected in the motto that talent may win a game, but intelligence and teamwork win a championship.
The team trains twice a week at the Palestra dell’Istituto Palladio in Treviso and takes part in unified basketball tournaments and league competitions, including events supported by Special Olympics. It also organizes the Treviso International Unified Basketball Tournament, welcoming teams of athletes with intellectual or relational disabilities and non-disabled partners. Matches have been held in the city’s Piazza dei Signori and Piazza Borsa, bringing basketball into the heart of the community.
Through training, competitions, tournament organization and community engagement, Diversport Baskettosi creates opportunities for athletes to play and grow together. The organization shares match dates, news and event information, and invites prospective participants to get in touch.
