The DIVINE project, funded under Horizon Europe, is focused on demonstrating the value of agri-data sharing and boosting the data economy in agriculture. With modern management and agricultural practices generating an abundance of data, the potential for a data economy in the industry remains untapped. However, technical interoperability, market transparency, and data ownership issues have hindered its emergence.

Through the DIVINE project, an agri-data ecosystem will be developed, combining commonly shared data and industry-led pilots with data-sharing plans. This approach aims to showcase the cost benefits and added value of agri-data sharing. The results will provide valuable insights for policy makers, technology providers, farm representatives, and other stakeholders in the agri-data field.

The project has already made significant progress, with plenary meetings held in Tallinn, Estonia, and participation in the EU AgriResearch Conference and the WFO General Assembly in South Africa.
