Deepavali Tasmania Inc. is a community organisation formed by diverse Indo-ethnic cultural groups to celebrate Diwali and share its traditions, values and philosophies in Tasmania. Bringing together Indian heritage and other Diwali-celebrating communities, it aims to foster social connection, inclusion and multicultural understanding through shared festivities.

Its annual Festival of Lights in Hobart features cultural performances, music, dance, singing and other performing arts, alongside food, art and cultural stalls. Visitors can also explore ethnic wear, hand-painting and turban-binding activities. The festival offers a welcoming setting for people of different backgrounds to experience the spirit of Diwali and its themes of light, knowledge and good overcoming darkness.

Deepavali Tasmania supports community participation through volunteer opportunities, performance expressions of interest, and applications for food and general stalls. Volunteers may assist with community engagement, decorations, cultural programs, stalls and media, with opportunities to take part in workshops. The organisation also invites businesses and other supporters to explore partnership and sponsorship opportunities, connecting with festival audiences while supporting cultural diversity and community cohesion in Tasmania.
