A member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, he works primarily outdoors in the plein air tradition and paints in both oils and watercolours. His work focuses on the structure of places and the effects of light, colour and atmosphere, often capturing the changing moods of land and sea.

Through his website, he presents galleries of his work and offers selected paintings for sale.
