About DJs at the Polls
DJs at the Polls is a national, non-partisan initiative founded in 2008 by Anton Moore in Philadelphia. The organization aims to celebrate democracy by bringing local DJs to polling sites across the country on Election Day. The DJs play fun, family-friendly music to encourage voters to come out and participate in the voting process.
DJs at the Polls is a joint project of Unity in the Community and Focus Action Network, dedicated to making Election Day feel like a holiday for the entire community. They work with local community organizations to hire DJs for polling sites in high-density areas, entertaining voters and spreading the message that voting is a celebration of democracy. In 2024, DJs at the Polls plans to expand to 25+ cities in nine states, with DJs set to perform at over 3000 polling sites nationwide.
