Djurs Doula is a birth support service led by Maja Bendix Ibsen, a trained Livsdoula based in Ebeltoft. She supports families across Djursland, including Ebeltoft, Rønde, Grenå and Hornslet, as well as Aarhus and Randers. Her approach centers on helping clients feel safe, calm and informed during pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period.
Services include birth preparation and planning, emotional and practical support during labor, guidance on informed choices, and support for clients’ preferences and boundaries. Maja also offers natural pain-relief approaches and techniques such as acupressure, rebozo, moxa and Spinning Babies exercises, alongside herbal knowledge. Her training builds on studies in anatomy and physiology at Aarhus University and doula education with midwife Ann-Emilie Augustinus.
The service helps clients prepare for birth at home or in hospital, while recognizing that each person’s definition of a positive birth is personal. Maja considers calm, trust and preparation central to her work
