The Danish Kennel Klub (DKK) is Denmark's largest organization for dog owners, offering a wide range of products and services. Established in 1897 by Danish hunters, DKK welcomes all dog owners, regardless of pedigree, as well as those with an interest in dogs. With over 30,000 members, it is one of Denmark's oldest and most influential organizations.
DKK organizes 12-15 dog shows each year, including international, Nordic, and national shows, providing an opportunity for dog owners to showcase their beloved pets. The organization also emphasizes the importance of health and breeding, recognizing the significant role these factors play in the overall well-being of dogs. As a member of the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI), the international union of national kennel clubs, DKK holds a unique position in Denmark.
FCI's recognition of DKK as the national kennel club highlights the organization's commitment to promoting responsible dog ownership and fostering strong partnerships.
