About Fundacja DKMS
Fundacja DKMS is an international non-profit organization dedicated to fighting blood cancers and other hematopoietic diseases. Their mission is to find a donor for every patient in need of a stem cell transplant worldwide. Established in Poland in 2008, Fundacja DKMS is an independent non-profit organization and holds the status of a Public Benefit Organization and Marrow Donor Center based on a decision by the Minister of Health.
Over the past 14 years, they have registered over 1,800,000 potential donors in Poland. The foundation's history began with one family's fight to save a loved one's life. Realizing the need for more unrelated donors, DKMS was founded in 1991.
