About Diego Martin Credit Union Co-operative Society Limited
Diego Martin Credit Union has a rich history, dating back to its registration as a Co-operative Society in 1947. Originally serving the Ward of Diego Martin, the credit union recognized the need for accessible financial services in the growing area. Over the years, it expanded its reach by opening branches in Maraval, Carenage, and the Diamond Vale Plaza.
Despite facing economic challenges in the 80s and 90s, Diego Martin Credit Union prioritized the survival of its members and implemented necessary changes. In 2014, a new Board and Management were recruited to drive the credit union towards stability and expansion. Currently, Diego Martin Credit Union is undergoing a Rebranding Exercise.
This includes upgrading its physical facilities and embracing technology to provide convenience to members. Additionally, the credit union aims to attract a younger demographic through marketing and promotion. Diego Martin Credit Union strives to be a leading credit union in the Co-operative sector, dedicated to meeting the financial needs of its members while maintaining a strong sense of ownership, management, and control
