Delta-Montrose Electric Association (DMEA) is a local electric cooperative serving families and businesses in Colorado’s Montrose and Delta counties. Established in 1938, DMEA provides electricity to more than 36,000 meters across seven districts and works to meet members’ energy needs while supporting strong, connected communities. Its services include electric account setup and transfers, billing and payment options, current rate information, outage updates, and assistance programs for members who need help paying their bills.
DMEA also offers resources on energy efficiency, safety, vegetation management, net metering, and new construction or electric service upgrades. Members can learn about the cooperative’s elected leadership, board meetings, annual reports, capital credits, and community programs, including Operation Round Up, scholarships, and youth education initiatives. The association supports local renewable energy development, including hydro and solar projects, and promotes emerging energy technologies.
Through its subsidiary, Elevate Internet, DMEA provides fiber broadband with plans offering speeds from 400 Mbps up to 6 gigabits. Its website also features member news, newsletters, educational resources, and customer support
