DMTC Limited is an Australian not-for-profit company that brings industry, research and government together to address critical national priorities. It designs, manages and leads collaborative, multi-party research and development initiatives focused on strengthening defence, national security and health security capabilities, while building Australia’s industrial capacity.

DMTC develops fit-for-purpose teams and partnerships to deliver practical programs of work. Its services include sector intelligence, industry uplift, science and technology programs, and the development of innovation ecosystems. The organisation also provides education and training. Through Health Security Systems Australia (HSSA), a division of DMTC, it supports health security work spanning CBR modelling and simulation, medical countermeasures, strategic advisory services, hazard management and CBR sensing systems.

DMTC’s approach is innovation-led and grounded in collaboration across Australian industry, research organisations and government. Its work includes programs and partnerships that support capability development, as well as advisory and technical initiatives in defence and health security. By connecting expertise and coordinating research and development, DMTC aims to deliver enhanced capabilities and contribute to a stronger Australian industrial base.
