About International Maritime Union in Greece
Welcome to the new website of the International Maritime Association (DMA). Established in 1922 in Piraeus, DMA represents Greek shipping agencies for international shipping lines, cruise ships, and ferries. Since its inception, DMA has played a pivotal role in the development of the Port of Piraeus, with its members contributing significantly to the exponential growth of ship approaches and cargo management, making it one of Europe's leading ports.
DMA is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors, serving a three-year term, which collaborates harmoniously with the Working Committees. These committees consist of highly esteemed professionals from member companies who volunteer their expertise.
DMA is a regular member of the Federation of National Associations of Ship Brokers and Agents (FONASBA) and is responsible for the corporate certification processes of FONASBA Quality Standard for its member companies. It also oversees the FONASBA Agent Diploma educational program for the professionals of our member companies.
