DOA is the largest animal shelter in the Netherlands, dedicated to giving pets a second chance at life. Each year, more than 2,000 homeless dogs, cats, and rabbits find refuge at DOA, where a team of passionate and experienced caregivers offers them love and care. The shelter provides various services, including pet adoption, where potential pet owners can meet animals ready for a new home such as dogs, cats, and rabbits.

In addition to adoption, DOA offers specialized services like a pet hotel, daycare, behavior therapy, physiotherapy, and grooming services. Established 125 years ago, DOA is a small, independent charity that relies on donations to continue its essential work. The organization engages with the community through social media, sharing heartwarming stories and helpful tips for pet owners.

Whether you are looking to adopt a new furry friend or contribute to the care of animals in need, DOA welcomes your support and involvement in its mission to rescue and rehabilitate vulnerable pets
